William Edward Ray, Jr, “Eddie” 78, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his residence.
He was born January 22, 1943, in Shelbyville, to William Edward Ray, Sr. and Lavada (Barnett) Ray.
Eddie was a truck driver for National Linen and worked in maintenance at WalMart. He enjoyed fishing and loved animals.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammie Jo Ray, 3 grandsons, his care givers, Frank and Betty Burch, and Jack Bassett, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucrecia Ann Lee, his brothers, Charles, Billy, James, and Robert, and his sisters, Ruthie, Dorothy, Lavada, Martha, and Jessie.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to the hospice nurses for the loving care they gave to Eddie.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dwayne Russell officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
