Valura Truitt Obituary

Valura A. Truitt, 78, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1942 in Columbus, IN to Gerald B. Truitt and Pearl (DeVillez) Triutt.

Valura graduated from Columbus High School in 1960 and from the Columbus Business College in 1962.

She retired from the City of Columbus Utilities office after 50 plus years of service.

Valura was a member of the Social Order of Beauceant, past Grand Royal Matron Order of Amaranth, past Matron of Columbus Order of Eastern Star, and past Royal Matron of Alice Court.

She is survived by her sister, Mary A. Secrest and her niece, LeAnne Secrest (Shauna Smith).

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wanda L. Henderson.

A private family graveside service will be in Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
