Sherry Thompson Obituary

  Sherry Dean Thompson, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Our Hospice in Columbus.

  She was born in Johnson County on December 19, 1941, to Charles Anderson and Bula (Doty) Anderson.

  On January 26, 1957 she married Jason Edward Thompson and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2018.

  She is survived by her son, James D. Thompson (Linda); daughter, LaDonna Ferrell; daughter, Christine Cassidy; son, William David Thompson (Lisa); and son, Richard Dale Thompson; brothers, Jimmy Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Ronnie Anderson, and Dennis Anderson; sisters, Marsha Simpson an Nyla Sullivan; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Lisa Ann Thompson and her brother, Jerry Anderson.

    Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker.  She loved her flowers and plants.  She enjoyed fishing with her husband of 61 years.  Mrs. Thompson loved taking care of the house, cooking, and her family.

  Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019  at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Doug Adams officiating.

  Burial will be in Second Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Franklin, IN.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Thompson family.
