Sandra Armstrong Johns, 60, of Shelbyville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital.
She was born January 21, 1960 in Shelbyville, to Neil W. Armstrong and Joanna M. (Flater) Armstrong.
She married Grady (Wally) Johns on June 7, 2013 and he survives.
Sandy is also survived by her mother, Joanna of Springfield, MO, two sisters and one brother, Tammy (Phil) Armstrong Pierson of Alcoa, TN; Neil D. (Jeannie) Armstrong of Greenwood, IN; and Lancy (Tom) Armstrong Mason of Springfield, MO; 4 nephews, and 5 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Rick Armstrong.
She was employed as a private home health caregiver.
Sandy had an infectious laugh and entertained her friends and family with her comedic talent, as well as performing a stand-up routine on the Sally Jessy Raphael television show.
Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.
Burial will be in London Cemetery.
