Obituary

  Patricia DarlIne (Procell) Smothers, 69, of Shelbyville passed away January 26, 2021 at her residence. 

  Patricia was born in Southern Louisiana to RoseMary and Joseph Valco Procell, Jr on June 7, 1951. 

  Patricia married Chester Ray Smothers on March 1, 1969 and he preceded her in death.

  She is survived by her children, Melissa Farless, (partner, Oren Sweet); Michelle Bowlby  (husband Todd Bowlby); Rowdy Smothers (partner, Nikki Smothers) and adopted son, Shawn Smothers; her brother, Victor Lee Procell of TX; her niece, Jennifer (Procell) Folkens (husband, (Douglas Folkens) of TX; her granddaughters, Kayla Farless and Darian Smothers, her grandsons, Derrick and Tyler Bowlby, her great-niece, CariBelle Folkens, her great-nephew, Dustin Folkens and 6 great grandchildren

  Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chester Smothers, her son, Rowdy Smothers, and 1 great-grandchild

  After High School, Patricia got her degree in computer programming and continued working as a programmer until she retired from KCL after 25 years of service.

  Patricia was an avid collector of dolls and old toys.  She enjoyed traveling and spending her time with family and friends.

  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
