Mary A. Spears

  Mary A. Spears, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at MHP Medical Center.

  She was born May 23, 1941 in Somerset, KY to Arch Weddle and Bertha (Eaton) Weddle.

  She married Larry Spears on May 8, 1976, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2019.

 Other survives include her daughter, Patricia Roberts, her sons, Larry G. Spears, Bobby Roberts, and Bobby Roberts, Jr, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Helen Phelps of Indianapolis.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

   Mary attended Shelbyville Baptist Temple.  She was a member of McKay Road Baptist Church and Beacon Baptist Church.

  She loved going to church and being active with the churches.  She also enjoyed her time at the Chaparral with Shirley and her friends.  Mary’s most precious times were spent with her family and friends.

  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Dwayne Russell officiating.

  Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Mary’s family.
