Mary Densmore Obituary

 

 

  Mary Anice (Blair) Densmore, 90, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday March 3, 2023 at her residence.

  She was born August 10, 1932 in Luxora AR, to Jasper Wade Blair and Lois (Monroe) Blair.

  She had worked at RCA, Western Electric, and then went to Triton Central Schools for 32 years as a bus driver.

  Anice attended Crossroads Community Church.

  Anice’s  top priority was attending her granchildren’s activities.  She took great pride in her gardening and flower beds.  Camping was a favorite past time for her, and always up for a fishing outing.  Anice was a true fan of the Pacers, and Indianapolis Colts.

She married Floyd William “Duke” Densmore on July 15, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2010.

Anice is survived by her daughters, Debbie Gilles, Teresa Carpenter; brother, Jasper ( wife, Maryann) Blair;

grandchildren, Kevin (wife, Jamie) Gilles, Jessica Gilles, Andrea Bright, Katie (husband, Jeff) Miller, Kelie  (husband, Seth) Baysinger, Arika (husband, Derrick) Held; great  grandchildren, Tyler, Brittany, Bryce, Myra, Grant, Emma, Rylee, Eloise, Grace, Ari, Griffin, Cooper, Jovie; great great grandchild, Willow.

  She was preceded in death by parents, son, Steven Densmore; sisters, Ina and Peggy; granddaughter, Chrissy Gilles, and great grandson, Mason Gilles.

  Visitation will be Friday March 10, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 11, 2023 at funeral home with pastor Andy Lee officiating.

  Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Anice’s family.

  Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th Street, Columbus IN, 47201 and also Crossroad Community Church, 475 Progress Parkway, Shelbyville IN, 46176.
