Mabel Lee Obituary

Mabel Elizabeth Lee, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 8 2020 at her Shelbyville residence with her family by her side.

Mabel was born on July 29, 1931 in Rushville, Indiana to Francis and Mable (Goodpaster) Redd. Mabel married Gilbert Emerson Lee on July 31, 1947 and together they had four (4) boys Danny, Larry, Kenneth and Timothy. She was employed at Major Hospital for several years where she held various positions including nurses aid. Mabel was a lifetime member of Hope’s Point where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was an avid gardener and loved camping and cherished family time.

Mabel was proceeded in death by her husband Gilbert and two (2) sons Danny and Larry Lee. She is survived by sons Kenneth and Timothy as well as daughter-in-law Lora. Mabel had 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter who also survive.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11am-1pm at Hope’s Point Church1703 Miller Ave, Shelbyville, IN 46176 Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 1pm with Pastor Andy Lee and Pastor Ed Mohr officiating. Burial services will be at Miller Cemetery.

Memorial contributions will be given to Hope’s Point Church on Mabel’s behalf.
