Lois Ann Brown

Lois Ann Brown, 87, of Gosport, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her daughter’s residence.

  She was born October 10, 1934 in Gosport, Indiana to Conrad Brown and Edith Brown (Kincaid). 

  Lois graduated from Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Indiana in 1952. She then went on to graduate from Ivy Tech in Bloomington, Indiana with a degree in nursing in 1972.

  Lois enjoyed her time as a nurse and specialized in geriatrics. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida but her favorite times were spent making memories with her family.

The family of Lois will hold a memorial service in Owen County on October 9, 2022. The memorial service will be held at 1601 Flatwoods Rd, Spencer, IN.

  Lois is survived by her daughter, Lisa Clapp (husband, Thomas), grandchildren; Jeremiah Kellems, Heather Clapp, Michael Anthony Pottorff II (wife, Misty), Brittanie Wallace, Joel Clapp (wife, Katelyn), great grandchildren; Jada Adams, Christian Corwin, Faith Merritt, Josh Kellems, Matthew Pottorff, Kaelynn Clapp, Lainey Wallace, Quinn Wallace, National Montgomery, Jason Montgomery, Jason Montgomery, sister, Shirley Karr (husband, Charlie), several nieces and nephews. 

  Lois is preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael Anthony Pottorff “Tony”, sister, Phyllis Lindsay, sister, Beula Brown, brother, Glen Brown and brother, Mike Brown.

  Funeral directors Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Lois’ family.
