Kent M Armstrong

  Kent M. Armstrong, 55, of Shelbyville, IN passed away September 13, 2023 in his wife’s loving arms, knowing peace and happiness.

  He was born June 23, 1968 in New Castle, IN to Thomas W. Armstrong and Wendy (Holdan) Armstrong.

 Kent was raised in Knightstown.  After graduating from Knightstown High School in 1987, he attended Weber Collage in Fl.

  He worked as an automation technician for Dematic for 28 years.  This allowed him to travel most of the United States before settling down and transferring to Eli Lilly.  His work family will tell you he was the most dedicated man they knew.  Missing a day of work was not an option for him.

  He was an avid racecar fan and enjoyed going to the racetrack with his wife and friends.  He was happiest when traveling and exploring all life had to offer, especially when there was a beach involved.

  He married his wife Sherrie (Hubble) Armstrong after 23 years of unconditional love, and she survives.

  Kent is also survived by his daughter, Nicole Armstrong, 2 stepdaughters, Antoenete Zachary and Jasmin Hubble; his mother, Wendy Armstrong; his brother, Marc Armstrong (wife, Hannah Chung); his nephew, Denver Armstrong, and his brother by choice, Jeff Edwards.

  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Armstrong, and his sister, Tiffany Armstrong.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Kent’s family.

  The family will accept live plants that can be delivered to Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
