Joseph "Joey" Allen Handlon

Joseph “Joey” Allen Handlon, 38, Greenwood, went to be with Jesus Friday April 15, 2022.

He was born August 3, 1983 to Richard “Rick” Allen Handlon and Kathy Ann (Eaglin) Carrier

Joey attended Waldron High School. He served as a glazier at Suburban Glass in Greenwood.
He attended Grace Assembly in Greenwood. He enjoyed attending baseball games, and he was passionate about hunting and fishing. With an incredibly compassionate and caring heart, Joey was always willing to help anyone in need. His greatest joy was spending time with his son Gage.

Joey is survived by his mother, Kathy Carrier (Stepfather Jamison); son Gage Handlon; sisters, Tori (Bobby) Schlageter and Trisha (Adam) Applegate; several nephews and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his father Rick.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176. Funeral services will be Wednesday April 20, 2022  at11:00am at the funeral home, Rev. Wayne Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions may be given to Celebrate Recovery Ministry in care of Grace Assembly of God Church 6822 US-31 Whiteland, IN.  46184.
