Obituary

 

  John Perry Robbins, 78, of Shelbyville, passed away May 2, 2023 at his residence.

  He was born April 9, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN. to Perry Alonzo Robbins and Catherine Mae (Cook) Robbins.

   John was a truck driver by trade, and he proudly served in the US Army.

John enjoyed his trips to the casino, and loved taking vacations with his family.

  He married Charlotte (Clark) Robbins on February 14, 1970 and she survives.

John is also survived by his daughters, Brenda Kay (husband, Chuck) Gremore, Angela Lynn (husband, Perry) Pittman, Bobbi Jo (husband, Mark) Carver; son, Carl LeRoy Williams-Robbins; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren  brothers, Albert Robbins, Jim Robbins, Raymond Robbins; sister, Maude Smith.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Cathy Bornstein, Sherri Robbins.

Graveside services will be held on Friday May 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Heros of Honor and Glory section at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens, 625 Progress Rd., Shelbyville, IN. 46176, with military rites conducted by our local veteran organization.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve John’s family.
