Obituary

Jerry Coffey, 75, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.

  He was born November 5, 1945 in Indianapolis to Kenneth Coffey and Elizabeth (Art) Bloucher.

   Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He worked at Mark Concrete.  He was a former member of the American Legion.  Jerry loved to watch cowboy movies, westerns, and sports.  He was an avid Colts fan.  He enjoyed the times he spent fishing.

  He is survived by his daughter, Nichole Deaton, his sons, Jerry Joe Coffey, Jr., and Jamie Coffey, his brother, Larry Coffey, his sisters, Sarah Coffey, and Sharon Coffey, his grandchildren, Keith Denny, Brice Denny, Zach Cooper, Megan Fuchs, Dakota Fuchs, Caleb Fuchs, and Maverick Coffey, and several great-grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Pete Coffey, Harry Coffey, Kenny Coffey, Ronnie Coffey, Chet Coffey, Jimmy Coffey, Dolly Jones, Maggie Coffey and Caralon Coffey.

  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Steven Ray officiating.

 Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.

 Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Jerry’s family.
