Jason Morris Obituary

Jason Curtis Morris, 33, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at his residence.

  He was born March 27, 1988 in Shelbyville to Carl Morris and Theresa (Johnson) Morris. 

  Jason was employed as an industrial painter for Capital Industries.

  He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, four-wheeling, and setting off fireworks.  He loved his kids very much and spending time with them was very important to him. His greatest joy was making memories with his family and friends.

  He married Amanda (Ashbrook) Morris on September 6, 2017, and she survives.

  Also surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Mia Jean Morris, his son, Nolan Clay Morris, his step-son, Caleb Jackson, his step-daughter, Allie Jackson, his father, Carl Morris (Tina Rush); his mother, Theresa Morris, his brother, Jessie Lee Morris, his paternal grandparents, Alice and Ron Tate, and his maternal grandparents, Loretta and Rosco Johnson.

  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm, Friday, September 3, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Horner, officiating.

  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Jason’s family.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the Shelbyville Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
