Heather R. Seaton

Heather R. Seaton, 43, of Fountaintown, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at her residence.

  She was born May 1, 1979 in Greenfield, IN to Layton H. Seaton and Vickie J. (Gaffney) Lockridge.

  Heather graduated in 1997 from Morristown High School.

  She received a certificate from Ivy Tech for dog grooming.  Heather was a very loving and caring daughter, and a loving and devoted mother.  She was always thinking about others. She was a big fan of Jon Bon Jovi.  Heather also loved animals.

  She is survived by her mother and step-dad, Vickie (Duane) Lockridge, her daughter, Krista R. (fiancée, Dakota) Skeens, her sister, Shannon (husband, Ted) Knight, all of Fountaintown, her brother, Jason Smalley of Indianapolis, her uncle Terry (wife, Pam) Seaton, of Greenfield, her fiancée, Johnnie Ramsey, of Fountaintown, her nieces, Jennifer Bentley of Shelbyville, and Taylor (husband, Chris) Seifert, of Indianapolis, and her longtime friend, Joel Rubio of Fountaintown.

  She was preceded in death by her father, her son, Johnathan Skeens, her grandparents, Wendell and Lillian Seaton, and Alvin and Virginia Gaffney, her brother-in-law, David Bentley, and her step-mom, Judith E. Seaton.

  A Celebration of Life will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Smith officiating.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Heather’s family.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heather Seaton funeral fund in care of the funeral home.
