Gregory "Skippy" A. Richmond

  Gregory “Skippy” A. Richmond, 61, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at MHP Medical Center.

  He was born February 22, 1962 in Franklin IN. to William “Blacky” Richmond and Nina (Arnold) Richmond.

  Greg was a 1980 graduate of Southwestern High School. He then graduated from Indiana Vocation Technical College in 1982, where he earned the Degree of Associate in Applied Sciences in Electronics Technology.

 Greg was a small business owner and operator at Circuits Repair for over 30 years, a business that he created from the ground up.  He specialized in industrial electronics repairs.  He enjoyed live music and also enjoyed playing his guitar.  He had a love for golf and spent a lot of time on numerous golf courses with his many friends.  Skippy was always up for an adventure and loved the outdoors.  He was athletic and enjoyed sports his entire life.  He was very family oriented and made sure they all knew his love for them.

 Greg is survived by his sisters, Sandy (husband, Jack) Adams, Karen (husband, Steve) Kuhn, Lori (husband, Tony) Pettit; his nieces and nephews, Kim (husband, Nathan) Waltz, Jennifer (husband, Pat) Giddens, Karrie (husband, Trent) Osmon, Nicole (husband, Adam) Kersey, Elizabeth (husband, Adam) Palmer, Lucinda Pettit and Seth Pettit; and 13 great nieces and nephews.

  He was preceded in death by, his parents; brother, William G. Richmond and nephew, Nathan Adams.

  Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Jose Rivera officiating.

 Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
