Gerald D. Carew, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his residence.

He was born April 8, 1937, in Shelbyville, IN to Russell Carew and Lorena (Hinkle) Carew.

Gerald was a member of the Bible Holiness Church.  He was a very kind person and always willing to help his neighbors when they needed something.

He is survived by his sister, Lorinda Carew and his niece, Sandra Carew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Charles Carew, Wilbur Carew, Norman Carew and Maurice Carew.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
