Gary E. Mangrum, 61, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
He was born September 29, 1960, to Norman E. Mangum and Nina (House) Mangrum, in Indianapolis.
He married Tami (Tolen) Mangrum on December 29, 1990 and she survives.
Survivors also include mother Nina Mangrum, daughters, Aimee Powers (Jeremiah), Jennifer Wall (Robert), Caitlin Mangrum, grandchildren Luke, Amelia, Willow, Caroline, and Daisy, sister, Angie Malfavon (Fonzo), brother Thomas Mangrum (April), Sister, Kaye Coffman (Ray), sister, Lisa Williams (Jim), brother Daniel Mangrum (Mandy), along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Norman E. Mangrum.
Mr. Mangrum graduated from Southwestern High School in 1978 and also attended Franklin College.
He was employed at Ryobi Die-casting as a 2nd shift, Group Leader.
Gary was a member of the Norristown Free Mason Lodge. He was also a member of the Shelbyville Bass Club. He loved to fish and be outdoors, especially down in Brown County and other state parks. He enjoyed collecting fossils, arrowheads, and marbles. He loved spending time with his family and telling fishing and college stories.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 10am to 1pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will be at 1pm at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Horner officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
