Frederick Mitchell Obituary

  Frederick B. Mitchell, 78, of Waldron passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Ashford Place.

  He was born March 5, 1942 in Shelbyville to William Charles Mitchell and Wilma J. (Swinford) Mitchell.

  He graduated from Waldron High School.  Fred was a member of the Grace Wesleyan Church.  He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the 2nd Amendment Task Force.  He was a inspector at Brazeway of Indiana.  He enjoyed collecting coins, antiques, fine china and rare liquors.  Fred also enjoyed his mornings at McDonalds with the local retirees. 

  Fred is survived by his sister Patricia A. Mercer-Tucker, his brother, Stephen Mitchell, his nieces, Vera Mercer and Pamela Garrison (Bobby), his nephew, Jimmie Mercer, 9 great nieces and nephews, 7 great-great-nieces and nephews.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

  Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, Friday, December 4, 2020 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Brandon Sutton officiating.

  Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Fred’s family.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
