Elmer "Gerald" Fogle

  Elmer “Gerald” Fogle Jr., 75, of Shelbyville, passed away  Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at his residence.

  He was born January 28, 1948 in Shelbyville, IN.  to Elmer Gerald Fogle and Doris F. (Swango)     Fogle.

  Gerald worked at O’Neal Steel before retiring.

  Gerald honorably served in the United States Army.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #70 and attended church at the Shelbyville Community Church.  Gerald had a love for music, especially jazz music.  He enjoyed playing his trumpet, piano and drums in his free time.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Katina Fogle; son, Travis Fogle; grandchildren, Bradon Fogle Conley, Kourtney Fogle, Macy Prather, Mariah Fogle, Luke Fogle, Savannah Fogle; sister, Faye Fogle Schultz.

Gerald married Shannon Darlene Bennett in 1968 and she survives.  They shared two children together and remained friends even after divorce.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Anne Roby and Jean Dawn Fogle.

  A gathering of friends will be Saturday August 19, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN. 46176.

Graveside services will follow at 11:15 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery with military rites conducted by our local Veteran organizations.
