Obituary

Elaine Scott, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away, Friday, November 16, 2018 at Heritage House.

She was born February 1, 1930 in Shelbyville, to Frank and Ella (Ashworth) Ruschhaupt.

She married Jobe Arthur Scott on March 6, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2014.

Elaine is survived by her son Toby (wife, Lola) Scott and daughter, Leanne (husband, Gary) Edwards, all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Phillip Scott, Angelo Dellapenna, Mindy (husband, Kevin) Martin, and LeeAnn Thurston; great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothe,  Max Ruschhaupt, sister-in-law, Doris Prill, and brother, Delmas Ruschhaupt.

She attended Shelbyville High School.  She was a member of First Christian Church.

Elaine loved to cook, work in the yard and travel.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Horner officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
