Obituary

Donald Raymond Gilles, 61 of Waldron, IN passed away on Monday, April 04, 2016, at his resedence.

Born February 07, 1955 in Shelbyville to Herman and Leona (Jefferies) Gilles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a daughter and brother-in-law.

He is survived by his sister, Jean Kelsay and brothers, Joe (Nola) Gilles, Ronnie (Donna) Gilles and Steve Gilles, as well as his son Kevin (Jamie) Gilles and daughter Jessica Gilles.  Don had two granddaughters, Brittany Baker and Myra Corbin and four grandsons, Tyler Gilles, Bryce Flippen, Grant Gilles and Mason Gilles.

Mr. Gilles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was a farmer and truck drive

Don was an avid member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the American Legion and the 40 & 8.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from  4:00 PM to8:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville.  The rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. prior to visitation.

Funeral service will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Aaron Pfaff officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory Shelbyville IN with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.

Memorial contributions may be made to Murphy-Parks Funeral Service to help the family with funeral expenses.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Gilles.
