David Land Obituary

On April 28th, David Aaron Land, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60.  David was born in Milton, Florida on September 13, 1962. David was preceded in death by his father Clifford Land.  David is survived by his mother Sharon (Calhoun) Basey, brother James Land (fiancé Cathy Harmon), sister Amy Wilson and sister Melissa (Missy) Bostic. David graduated from Southwestern High School in May of 1980.  David attended Blue River Vocational Technical Center for Building Trades, both junior and senior year of high school.

David was employed at Pilkington since 2001.  He loved his friends and family and had a witty sense of humor that would come out of nowhere.  He was an avid collector of stamps, coins, Hot Wheels, certain entertainment magazines, among other things.  David always had several antique cars and motorcycles throughout his life. He enjoyed going to flea markets and loved watching NASCAR.  He also liked to hunt arrow heads.  David will be sadly missed by anyone that knew him.

David always cared about the Veterans.  As a young child David wrote a letter to the President of the United States about the Vietnam War.  He received a letter in 1973 from President Richard Nixon.
