Zelma Rose Davis

Zelma Rose Davis, 69 of Shelbyville, Indiana died on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at her residence.

Born Friday, July 26, 1946, in Portland, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John Thompson and the late Doris Thompson.

Surviving are son, Brian (Rita) Flick of Ridgeville; daughter, Jodi (Chris) O'Neill of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Brittney Flick, Hannah Pruitt and Ryanne O'Neill; brothers, Pete Thompson of Tennessee and Gale Thompson of Georgia; sisters, Karen Garrett and Bobbie Blankenship, both of Dunkirk, and Juanita Ashley of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by brothers Junior Thompson and Chuck Thompson; sisters, Loretta Thompson, Maggie Thompson and infant sister, Linda Kay Thompson.

Mrs. Davis enjoyed crafts, reading, shopping, Karaoke, Facebook, and baking. Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, December 7, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

A Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Shelbyville Community Church officiating.

Burial will be in St. George Lutheran Cemetery in Edinburg.

Funeral directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Davis.
