William Howard Anderson, Sr.

William Howard "Bill" Anderson Sr., 67, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at his home. Born Jan. 15, 1941, in Greenfield, he was the son of James W. and Lucille (Caldwell) Anderson. He married Barbara Chapman on Nov. 10, 1961, and she survives. Other survivors include his sons, Bill Anderson Jr. of Shelbyville and James Anderson of Plainfield; daughter, Theresa Anderson of Indianapolis; half brother, Kim Anderson of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Ashley, Robert, Andrew and Veronica. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a construction heavy-equipment operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Anderson had an interest in standardbred racing horses. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
