Willard Michael Eckstein

Willard Michael Eckstein, 65, of Winter Park, Fla., a former Shelbyville resident, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Florida Memorial Hospital in Winter Park.
Born June 19, 1945, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Robert L. and Mary (Johnson) Eckstein.
Survivors include a sister, Sue Miller of Shelbyville, and nephews, Randall Miller of Shelbyville and James Miller of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Eckstein attended Shelbyville High School and graduated from Winter Park High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving a tour of duty in Germany.
Mr. Eckstein was employed by Publix Supermarkets for 38 years in management positions in various area stores.
He was an active member of American Legion Post No. 19 and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3643 and Loyal Order of Moose No. 766.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Father Chris Craig officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association in care of Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.
