Wendell K Johnson

Wendell K. Johnson, 59, of Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born March 25, 1953, to Carlie L. Johnson and Emma F. (Brown) Johnson in Albany, Ky. Survivors include sons, Aaron Johnson of Bloomington Spring, Tenn., and Shane Johnson of Kokomo; sisters, Wanda Shephard of Shelbyville, Janice Burgmeier of Greensburg, Betty Koenigkramer of New York, Wilma Johnson of Shelbyville, Linda Stafford of Shelbyville and Wanda Johnson of Shelbyville; brothers, Gene Johnson and William Johnson of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Emma Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Alisa Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Wendell enjoyed camping, fishing and adventure hiking. He had been employed at Office Syndicate Sales. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, with the funeral following at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Paul Sutherland officiating. Burial will be at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H.
