Walker "Bill" Bray, 89 of Shelbyville, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville

Born Sunday, January 30, 1927 in Haleyville, AL, He was the son of Sharp Walker Bray and Alice (Garrison) Ritchey.

Bill married Betty (Lackman) Bray on March 18, 1950 and she survives.

Bill is also survived by his children: Paul Bray, of Granger , IN and Susan (Norman) Winkler. of Shelbyville, son-in-law Mike Horvath of Massachusetts. Grandchildren: Norman (Karla) Winkler, of Shelbyville, Lori (Robert) Stieneker ,of Shelbyville, Melissa (Owen) Winkler-York, of Camby, IN Joshua (Stacia) Winkler, of Shelbyville Sherri Boucher of Granger IN; 16 great grandchildren.

Mr. Bray was preceded in death by his parents; Son- John Bray , Brother - Max Bray, and daughter-in-law, Joyce Bray.

Upon retiring from St. Joseph County Parks in South Bend, Bill was employed at the Shelbyville Wal-Mart and was known as "The Paint Guy". He really enjoyed gardening and had a love for Basset Hounds.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby County Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Bray.
