Virginia Sue Franklin

Virginia Sue Franklin, 67, of Shelbyville died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility at Columbus. Born Oct. 11, 1943, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of William E. and Virginia (Burk) Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Franklin. She was blessed to have Jonathan and Sheila Hilt as her dearest friends. Ms. Franklin had been employed as a clerical worker for the Indiana state government and for the Indiana Board of Realtors. She enjoyed her flowers and cross-stitching, and she was an avid historian. No visitation has been planned. Private services will be held Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., with the Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in the Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville. An online guest book may be signed at www.murphy-parks.com.
