Vickie L Cox

Vickie L. Cox, 75, of Indianapolis passed away, Friday, December 10, 2021 at her residence.

She was born July 8, 1946 in Marion County to S.W. Skidmore and Jeanne (Addison) Skidmore.

She graduated from Waldron High School, class of 1965.

Vickie was a CNA and Surgical Tech.  She also served for many years in various general health care positions. She was very talented in crocheting and knitting.  She was a member of the Eastern Star.  Vickie will be forever loved by her family and friends.

Vickie is survived her husband, Oakley Cox, her daughters, Julia Meyer, and Chanda Roethler, her grandchildren, William Cox, Alexander Meyer, Brendan Meyer, Jacob Roethler, and Shelby Heid, 4 great-grandchildren, her sister, Melinda Skidmore, and her brothers, Skiddy, Mark, John, Larry, Rusty, and Lindsay Skidmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dana Sean Cox, and her brother, Chris Skidmore.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.
