Timothy Douglas DeBaun, 64, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at his residence.

He was born January 1, 1962, in Shelbyville, IN to Robert DeBaun and Mary (Baatz) Helton.

Tim was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Fever. His favorite team to watch and cheer on was the Indiana Hoosiers. He also had a love for the outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing throughout the years. He was a dedicated employee at Knauf Fiberglass and retired after over 40 years of service.

He is survived by his son, Kenny Quick; daughters, Mindy Quick (Shana Schulze) and Misty Quick (Louis Oliver); son, Shane Quick; grandchildren, Hayleigh, Peyton, Isobel, Kenzie, Mattie, Koda Bear, Nikolai, Kairi and Arabella and brother, Danny DeBaun.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Tammy DeBaun; brother, Gary DeBaun and the mother of his children, Tammy Quick.

A Gathering of Friends to celebrate Tim’s life will be announced soon.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.
