Theresa Ann Griggs, 45, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis. Born Oct. 31, 1963, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Donald E. and Violet (McClure) Gribbons. She married Franklin Brian Griggs on June 29, 1996, and he survives. Other survivors include her son, Donny Gribbons of Shelbyville; brothers, Richard E. Gribbons of Shelbyville, Walby Schuck of Rushville and Terry Schuck of New Castle; sister, Dixie Barnes of Shelbyville; and a granddaughter, Angela Faye Gribbons. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother. Mrs. Griggs was a certified nursing assistant. She had attended Cornerstone Christian Church. Mrs. Griggs was a NASCAR fan. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
