Susan Diana Moody

Susan Diana Moody, 78, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at Community Hospital North.

She was born May 23, 1947, in Shelbyville, IN to John W. Mohr and Lois Joan (Bogeman) Mohr.

Susan spent most of her life in Shelbyville and spent her later years in Indianapolis.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School.  She went onto become a Laboratory Technician and specialized in Pathology.  Susan was a former member of Shelbyville Baptist Temple and she also attended West Street United Methodist Church.  She was an avid reader and also enjoyed cooking and baking.  She had a love for doing crafts of all kinds.  She took every opportunity to play games with her family, whether it be board games, card games or even video games.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose (husband, Greg) Cropper; her sisters, Mary (husband, Robert Jr.) Marsh, Janet (husband, Bill) Michell and Aileen Sullivan; her nieces and nephews, Bill, Genie, Erin, John, Jessica, Brett, Samantha, Andrew, Barbara, Jennifer and Robert III.; many great-nieces and great- nephews and several others that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy Messer.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 27, 2025, from Noon to 2 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Humphrey officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
