Steven (Steve) T. Harpring

Steven (Steve) Thomas Harpring, 53 of Morristown, IN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at his residence.

Born Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1963 in Rushville, He was the son of Benno"Bud" Harpring and Antoinette "Nettie" Harpring.

Steve married the love of his life Lisa Thompson on June 5, 1987 and she survives.

Steve is also survived by his mother; b rothers: Frank(Karen) Harpring, Rushville, Mark(Karen) Harpring, Rushville, sister: Diane(Elbert) Gordon, Rushville, sisters-in-law: Deena Thompson, Rushville, Sara (Steve) Graziano, Fishers, Elizabeth Thompson, Brookville, Ellen Thompson, Brookville, mother-in-law: Kay Thompson, Glenwood, father-in-law Dean (Laura) Thompson, Brookville, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and his beloved fury kids Lucy & Rosie.

Mr. Harpring was preceded in death by his father.

He worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Rushville,as well as, a member of the US Postal Union.

Steve was known as a nature lover and was an avid gardener. He loved bird watching and planting the trees of tomorrow. He and Lisa planted hundreds of trees on their property, where they loved takings walks with their dogs. Steve was also a great cook, photographer and environmentalist. His family was the core foundation of his life.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rushivlle, IN.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 10:30 a.m. the church with Father Gries officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Indianapolis Shriners in c/o Murphy-Parks Funeral Service 703 S. Harrison Street Shelbyville, In. 46176.
