Steven Charles Oliger, 63 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at his residence.

He was born November 7, 1953 in Terre Haute to William Oliger and  Bonnie (Wheat) Oliger.

Steven married Candice (Erpelding) Oliger on Saturday, October 09, 1976 and she survives. Steven is also survived by three children: Angelique (Ryan) Collier, of Indianapolis, IN, Zachary Oliger, of Shelbyville, IN, and Alicia (Jamie) Macklin, of Shelbyville, IN, 6 grandchildren and one brother, Mark Oliger of Oklahoma.

Mr. Oliger was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a veteran of the US Army.  He had a successful professional career until his recent retirement.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2017 from  3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services. 703 S. Harrison St. Shelbyville IN.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Shelbyville IN. with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.

Memorials may be given to Riley Children Hospital  705 Riley Hospital Dr. Indianapolis, IN. 46202.
