Shirley Michelle (Rogian) Hammond

Shirley Michelle Hammond, 42, of Shelbyville died Monday, May 18, 2009, at her home. Born March 31, 1967, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Michael and Bonnie L. (Thompson) Rogian. She married C. Samuel Hammond on March 29, 2003, and he survives. Other survivors include her parents of Shelbyville; children, Nicholas G. McNeely and Elizabeth Rogian, both of Shelbyville; and brothers, Doug (wife, Debbie) Rogian and Bruce Eric (wife, Shannon) Rogian, both of Fairland, and Sam (wife, Erin) Rogian of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bonita Clark-Gobel. Mrs. Hammond was a registered nurse prior to becoming disabled. She was a member of Hope's Point Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Hope's Point Baptist Church, 1703 S. Miller Ave. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
