Sheila Rae Shaner

Sheila Rae Shaner, 75, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Timber Creek Village.

She was born December 21, 1947 in Shelbyville, IN.  to Charles Ray Shaner and Marjorie E. (Wells) Shaner.

Sheila graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1966.

Sheila was a member of Crossroads Community Church.  She was an artist and had many beautiful paintings and creative pieces.  Sheila also had a love for singing and was known for her beautiful voice.  She was very good with lyrics and could sing more songs than most people could ever name.  Sheila was a great cook and also enjoyed the times she was able to go fishing.  She never met a stranger and had a deep love for her family and close friends.

Sheila is survived by her sister, Suzanne Shaner and Shelley Kay Wilson; special friends, Linda Amos and Susie O'Connor; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews and close cousins, as well as, many church friends.

She was preceded in death by her parent, her sisters, Sharon Sue Shaner Drummond, Saundra Sheryl Shaner Walden; her brother, Kevin O. Shaner; her brother-in-laws, James Drummond and Phillip Wilson.

A Gathering of Friends will be Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 475 Progress Parkway, Shelbyville, IN. 46176.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County Cancer Associations, 31 Public Square, Shelbyville, IN. 46176 in honor of Sheila.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Sheila's family.
