Sarah J. (Knose) Street

Sarah J. Street, 86, of Shelbyville died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Morgan County to James Riley Knose and Emma Agnes (Branson) Knose. She married Charles L. Street in 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1978. Survivors include a son, Jimmy (wife, Shannon) Knose of Shelbyville; brothers Ira Knose of Shelbyville and James Richard Knose of Greenwood; a sister, Anna Harris of Indianapolis; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She worked at Admiral Corp. and was a dedicated employee of Murphy Funeral Service from 1979 until she retired in 2008. Sarah's favorite pastimes were watching her grandchildren grow and flowers. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robb Barlow officiating. Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.
