Santiago Gomez, 86, of Shelbyville died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Major Hospital. Born July 25, 1925, in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, he was the son of Feliziano Gomez and Abundia Ledesma. He married Hildelisa Gomez, and she survives. Other survivors include son, Rigoberto Gomez of Shelbyville; daughter, Maria J. Gomez of Shelbyville; and grandson, Andres Gomez. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S.
