Ruth Marie Satterfield

Ruth Marie Satterfield, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her residence.

She was born October 10, 1934 in Laurel, IN to Ruben Reynolds and Mattie (Geer) Reynolds.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Phillip (wife, Sheila) Satterfield; Donnie Ray (wife, June) Satterfield; her daughters, Rhonda Carpenter (companion, Bob Lowery); Deena Davis, and Marcella (husband, Donnie) Gabbard; her sister, Helen Carpenter, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jeffrey Dean Satterfield.

Ruth was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church.  She was a cook at the Shelby County Jail and Heritage House.  She enjoyed listening to Gospel cd's, reading, and her trips to Brown County.  Her most precious times were spent with her family.

Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2020 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Reverend Harvey Weaver and Pastor Jose Rivera, officiating.

Burial will be Stipps Hill Cemetery in Laurel, IN.
