Ruth Elaine Elliott

Ruth Elaine Elliott, 69 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at her residence.

Born October 19, 1947 in Shelby County, She was the daughter of Francis Redd and Lora (Ballard) Redd and they preceded her in death. Ruth married James Elliott on Friday, July 22, 1988 and he survives.

Ruth is also survived by daughters, Renee (Jerry) Palmer, of Waldron, Sharon (Kelly Jr.) West, of Paragon, Jewell (Fredd) Martini, of Brookville, Lora Bruner, of Shelbyville, Christy (Billy) Glover, of Shelbyville,16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers.

Mrs. Elliott was also preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of Shelby County.

She enjoyed gardening, camping, and cruising through the country side. Her most cherished times were spent with her family.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St. Shelbyville IN.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 10:00 AM at the funeral home with her nephew Rev. Roy Redd officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ruth Elliot memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
