Ruby Boring

Ruby Boring, 99, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her residence.

She was born January 25, 1919 in Indianapolis to Ralph R. and Hattie Mae (Law) Reed. She married Harold Ralph Boring on December 29, 1938 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 1974.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Diane Pennington, Ankeny, IA, and Sandra Kay Johnson, Shelbyville, grandkids, Jeffrey Brian Johnson, Huntsville, Al., Eric Wade Johnson, Greenwood, IN, and Harold Curtis Johnson, Shelbyville, great-grandkids, Paris Johnson, Ariel Johnson, both of Greenwood, Jack Johnson, Lilly Johnson, Ella Johnson, Molly Johnson and San Johnson, all of Shelbyvlle.

Mrs. Boring was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and granddaughter, Debra Lynn Johnson.

Ruby and Harold were very active in the standardbred horse industry for several years.  She enjoyed sewing and traveling. Ruby was so grateful that she was able to have visited all 50 states.

Private family services were observed..

Burial was in Ashbury Cemetery, Morristown, IN.
