Roy Rogers, 73, of Indianapolis died Friday, April 17, 2009, in Edinburgh. Born May 8, 1935, in Kentucky, he was the son of Oakley and Della (Sparks) Rogers. Survivors include his daughter, Lori (husband, Billy) Olnick of Edinburgh; sons, Ricky Olnick and Roy Dean Rogers; stepdaughters, Tammy Rogers and Glenda Duncan; stepsons, Marty Conner and Mike McReynolds; brothers, Don Rogers, Jerry Rogers and Nelson Rogers; and sister, Livina Wilmoth. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Wilmoth. Mr. Rogers had been employed in manufacturing. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis, with the Rev. Donnie Jackson officiating. An online guest book can be signed at www.murphy-parks.com.
