Roy T. Elliott, 78, of Shelbyville, passed away, February 11, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Greenfield.

Born Feb.1, 1938 in Charters, Ky.he was the son of Othie Elliott and Mildred Ginn.

He married Sue M. Elliott in May of 1988 and she survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, Mandy Elliott (companion, Tom Kruse), son, Greg Elliott, all of Shelbyville.step-daughter, Ginger (husband, David) Hubbard of OH, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Charles Elliott.

Mr. Elliott was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam.  He worked at the Indiana State Highway Dept and at Penskee.

He loved gardening, flowers, working in the yard and wood working.

Visitation will be Saturday, February, Feb. 13, 2016 from noon until 1 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison, Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Robert Prather officiating.  Burial will be in Heroes of Honor and Glory at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contriubtions in honor of Mr. Elliott may be made to the Shelby County Cancer Society.
