Ronald D. Mckenney

Ronald D. McKenney, 72, of Cumberland, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at IU Health Indianapolis.

He was born February 22, 1950 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Fred McKenney Sr. and Alice Eldora McKenney (Bowman).

Ronald was employed with Shelby Materials as a maintenance supervisor for 43 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He took on any job that was thrown at him, no matter how dirty or challenging they may have been.

He survived by his wife, Theresia McKenney (Price), daughter, Belinda Batts (husband, Michael), daughter, Wendy McKenney, daughter, Lillie Dehay (husband, John), grandchildren; Chance Batts, and Emily Nunez and also two nieces; Taylor and Katelyn Price.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Fred McKenney Jr. and Jerry W. McKenney, and also his sister, Carolyn Johnson.

Visitation will be Monday, September 26, 2022 from 4pm-8pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.

Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery 4430 N 400 W. Fairland, Indiana 46126.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Ronald's family.
