Roger C Shelton

Roger C. Shelton, 65, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Heritage House in Greensburg. He was born May 28, 1947, to John R. Shelton Jr. and Virginia B. (Miller) Shelton in Shelbyville. Survivors include son, David (wife, Prudence) Shelton of Shelbyville; grandson, Timothy Shelton; granddaughter, Virginia Shelton; brothers, Jerry Spencer Shelton of Mich. and Arthur Joseph (wife, Rhonda) Shelton of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven Shelton. Mr. Shelton was an avid collector of antiques. He was employed with Wellman Furnaces Inc. for 37 years.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in Vietnam from 1966 - 1970. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
