Robert Winstead

Robert Lee Winstead, 61, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1960, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, to Vernon Clay Winstead and Ruth (Ivany) Winstead.

Robert was an Electrical Engineer for many years. He enjoyed working on and repairing cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Robert also enjoyed being outside especially when cutting grass.

He is survived by his wife Mary (Houchins) Winstead, married June 4, 2002. He is also survived by his daughter, Ashley (Nate) Gable, daughter, Jessica (Gerald) Hinds, son, Darrell (Nina) Hicks, daughter, Kristin Baskerville (Garrett Abner), son, Nicholas Winstead, sister, Robin (Mike) Lockart, sister, Debbie Winstead, along with 11 grandchildren and 1 expected on June 13, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Baskerville, his nephew, Clay Reed and his father, Vernon Winstead.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am, on May 16, 2022 at Church 52, 8220 Brookville Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana 46239 with Pastor Brian Tolliver officiating. Burial will follow in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.
