Rita Faye Holt, 65, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at her residence.

She was born April 15, 1961 in Franklin, IN to Charles E. Rairdon, Sr. and Mary M. (Stainbrook) Brinson.

Rita was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. She enjoyed collecting her ‘itty bities”, which were miniature versions of various popular items. Rita also enjoyed coloring and working puzzles. Some of her favorite times were spent socializing with her friends and making memories with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Holli Rairdon; son, Ryan Holt; grandchildren, Jayden, Bradley, Davien, Lillian, Chandler and Owen; sisters, Mary Anne (husband, Patrick) Schaf, Susie (husband, Rick) Clouse and Charlotte Bryzek; brothers, Charles E. (wife, Dianna) Rairdon, Jr. and Calvin Scott Byrd; sister, Carla Linville; best friend, Tabitha Eikman; nephew, Nicholas Rairdon and beloved cat, Mercy.

She was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Hubert Brinson; father and step-mother, Ruth Rairdon; sisters, Patty Brinson, Connie Kirby and Vickie Jo Berry; brother, Mike Brinson; nephews, Eric Kirby, Jeffrey Reed and Joshua Buster..

A graveside service will take place in Union Chapel Cemetery in St. Paul, IN at a later date.
