Richard Wayne Carew, Jr.

Richard Wayne "Rick" Carew Jr., 49, of Waldron died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Major Hospital. Born April 6, 1961, in Franklin, he was the son of Richard W. and Shirley (Harrison) Carew Sr. Survivors include his mother of Waldron; daughter, Brittny Carew of Waldron; son, Justin M. Carew of Waldron; sisters, Sheri Wells of Rushville and Dana Metts of Florida; and granddaughter, Madison R. Bellows. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Nicholas Metts. Mr. Carew was employed in construction. He served in the National Guard from July 1983 to 1993. His hobbies were camping, fishing and watching Indiana University basketball or Indianapolis Colts football. A celebration of life service will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at High Point Orchard, 3321 N. Old Highway 421, Greensburg.
