Peggy Joan Carrier, 58, of Fairland died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Born Jan. 10, 1954, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Clyde Hobbs Jr. and Ruth (Stevens) Hobbs. She married Joseph D. Carrier, and he survives. Other survivors include daughters, Jennie Rebecca Carrier (Doug Robinson), Emily Kathryne Carrier (Shannon Clouse) and Summer Nicole Carrier (Kevin Brooks), all of Fairland; son, Joseph Ryan (Stacey) Carrier of Fairland; brothers, Mike Hobbs of Florida and Scott Hobbs of Waldron; sisters, Leigh Ann Hobbs and Brenda Brewer, both of Cloverdale; grandchildren, Emily, Clyde, Madison, Erin, Brookly, Boston and Liberty; and a great-grandson, Kayson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Joshua Hobbs. Mrs. Carrier was a homemaker. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Feb. 28th, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
